Notch’s inaugural Mobile Biergarten season is about to kick-off and we can’t wait to hit the road to visit some of the most attractive outdoor spaces in Massachusetts and serve you all delicious session beer! We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Trustees, the oldest regional land trust in the world for our main summer schedule.

You don't have to imagine yourself here! Join us at Stevens Coolidge Place this week!

In advance of our May 17-20 debut at Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover, MA, I’d like to share some information with you about how this experience works. Even though the general biergarten experience will be moveable, each Trustees’ property will offer its own happenings and event details.

-Each biergarten is open to the public and there are no special tickets you need to join the fun at these events; just be aware that each Trustees’ property has their own admission procedures and some special events require advanced tickets. Please check out their website for information about specific sites you’re interested in visiting. Each site has an interesting history- that's part of why we wanted to work with this amazing organization.

In some cases, the Biergarten will be the weekend's main event, while other times we'll be joining a bigger Trustees event. Your best bet will be to take a look at each weekend’s Facebook event or check out the specific property’s page for more detailed information. No matter where you look, you’ll find a number of fun activities from games like cornhole and can jam to Meters for Liters fun runs, interpretive site tours, Meet the Brewer talks, and more. The Trustees will have a membership table should you wish to join this great organization.

-We’re doing our best to reduce the amount of waste generated by the biergarten-that’s why you’ll be drinking beer from reusable ceramic steinkrugs (see above) instead of plastic cups. This also means you should bring your own water bottles and be prepared to take home any refuse you bring. You'll be able to refill your bottles on-site. If you forget, we'll have some stainless steel Notch bottles for sale.

-All of our biergartens are family-friendly, just like they are in Europe. If you are bringing children, please keep them supervised to ensure everyone has fun. Some sites will even offer kids activities.

-Notch will be selling half liters of our year-round beers from our tap truck. We’ll also be selling the same German-style landjaeger snack sausages you might know from our Salem Tap Room. Non-alcoholic ginger ale and lemonade (which is great in a Radler) will also be available for purchase.

-You are welcome to bring your own snacks and lawn chairs to the biergarten. Some events will offer other food for sale if you forget, but definitely, take a look at each weekend to make sure you know the food situation.

-We’ll be sharing specific event details as each event gets closer, so stay tuned to social media for the latest!

Our full summer schedule lives on the Mobile Biergarten page, where you can also find information about booking the biergarten for private events.

In the meantime, we can't wait to see you outside in the biergarten in some of Massachusetts's most scenic spots.
